Medical Hypnotherapy Grantham & Newark
This is a special Hypnotherapy service from Elevated Therapy as an adjunct for patients and their medical care (Primary Care) which may help alongside their main medical or surgical treatment.
In some cases, a person’s medical provider will need to give permission to involve complementary therapies with their diagnosis and medical treatments. Therefore, it is always advisable to speak to the clinician responsible for your care and treatment before embarking on Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) for adjunct support.
Elevated Therapy sessions are NOT a substitute for medical care or a substitute for the treatments provided by a hospital or for the course of treatment prescribed by your medical consultant.
In no circumstances, does Elevated Therapy offer to treat any person for cancer, prescribe any remedy for cancer or give any advice in connection with the treatment of cancer.
Jacqueline and Michael are NOT Medical Doctors.
The work of Elevated Therapy has worked very well with the NHS, and private Medical Providers in London, and the South-East of England, and throughout the UK, and Ireland for almost 30 years, and recently with local NHS authorities in Grantham and Newark since 2012 using meditation, hypnosis, eft, reiki, breathing exercises, suggestion therapy in order to aid in healing and helping people to change their behaviour, mental focus, balancing the mind and body and imagery to help relax the body and mind and lessen stressful thoughts and feelings – all to invite healing, and to often help cope with worry, stress, nausea, pain, and fatigue.
Here at Elevated Therapy, we have found consistently over the years through observation and feedback from clients, that patients who feel they are playing a more active role towards their own recovery and care in using Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) alongside their medical care, feel more supported and have a more positive mindset and seem to do better within themselves because of that. The adjunct work at Elevated Therapy empowers them particularly in this regard, especially from a holistic perspective which is extremely important for some in addressing the mental, physical, and spiritual aspects of health.
It has been and continues to be a positive interaction and respectful collaboration with the medical side of healing.
Elevated Therapy’s Non-NHS provider code is: 8EV76.
In simplest terms, the definition of medical hypnosis is the use of hypnosis to help with physical healing and changes in psychogenic disorders.
Hypnotherapy has been safely used for centuries. Its value as a psychotherapeutic treatment is now becoming more fully recognised generally owing to new medical research results.
Hypnotherapy may stimulate the hypothalamus which is involved in releasing neuropeptides that regulate stress and release serotonin, dopamine and endorphins. Serotonin acts as a natural antidepressant. Dopamine stimulates the “reward centre” of the brain and the endorphins are natural painkillers.
Emotional Freedom Techniques is also very useful alongside Hypnotherapy at Elevated Therapy to be used in conjunction with
conventional treatments and again is used to seek to relieve the symptoms or the side effects of conventional treatments, and help with pain relief and management.
Research looking into the effectiveness of Hypnotherapy and Medicine shows that Hypnosis can help medical patients successfully deal with anxiety, panic attacks, fear, stress, pain management, sleeping problems, medical therapy compliance, radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment and many other psychosomatic and psychological ailments.
More and more Doctors are becoming increasingly supportive of holistic therapy and hypnotherapy as an aid alongside their primary treatments to better health, and a patient’s improved disposition.
Several amongst Michael’s family members and friends are Medical Doctors including his two brother-in-laws.
Hypnotherapy is a non-invasive therapy, but complementary to orthodox medicine.
Hypnosis for purposes of medical support goes back a long way in recent modern history. The British Medical Association endorsed the use of hypnosis in somatic medicine in 1955, on the basis of case reports, and the American Medical Association followed suit in 1958.
Please have a read of Complementary and Alternative Medicine from the National Cancer Institute.
(CAM) is the term for medical products and practices that are not part of standard medical care.
