Ring in longer lasting lifestyle changes this year with hypnotherapy in Grantham 2016
Hypnotherapy Grantham 2016
Make this year’s resolutions last !!! 2016 in Grantham.
Since the festive season is out of the way, quite a few of us turn to our overall health and look for ways to make it better.
Reports suggest that, on average, we all put on around 6-8 pounds simply because of the extravagances of the Christmas season, and the evidence is brought into focus by our ill-fitting outfits. This quite often provides ample motivation to start making changes. It’s unsurprising then, that top of the list of resolutions are as a rule losing weight, stop smoking cigarettes and cutting down on alcohol. But just how long do our good intentions last?
The difficulty we face is that smoking cigarettes, eating too much and drinking are all habitual behaviours, which require effort to correct. And changing habits is something we traditionally find quite hard to achieve with no help. That’s because it is far harder for us to unlearn something than it is to learn it. Do you think you could forget how to speak? Looking at it in those terms, it quickly becomes clear why numerous resolutions fail.
Hypnotherapy in Grantham can help
The answer lies in replacing old thought processes with new and improved ones. Hypnotherapy in Grantham gives us access to the subconscious mind, where our behaviours are stored; we can actually overwrite the old behaviours and replace them with the new ones.
Maybe you are in the practice of buying some treats like biscuits or a chocolate bar whilst you are shopping each week. By using hypnotherapy processes, I can help you to change that behaviour so that the idea does not even cross your mind.
The same goes for cigarettes and weight reduction and, in fact, for almost any behavioural change you wish to make. With a hypnotic approach, changing habits is my stock in trade. How would your waistline transform if you just stopped fancying all of the carbs like bread, potatoes, biscuits, cakes, pastas and cereals? How easy will it be to stop cigarettes if you just didn’t fancy a cigarette any more and if you begun to think of yourself as a non-smoker?
The positive aspect of making changes at a subconscious level is that those old behaviours become much easier to curb. How great would it be if next year you did not have to make the same kind of promises that you made this year. What you will find is that a subconscious change lasts much longer than a drunken pledge to yourself.
